Titan Technologies is seeking Analysts to be based at our customer site in Chicago. This opportunity will require individuals to complete a thorough background check through the Bureau of Labor Statistics. In this role, you’ll be making outbound calls to process and analyze confidential data on leading economic indicators, obtained through data files and other approved means. Qualified candidates must have excellent telephone skills and be able to communicate clearly and concisely to meet monthly call obligations. The EDI Analyst 1 is highly motivated, goal-oriented, and will process and analyze confidential data on leading economic indicators, obtained through data files and other approved means. This position will be responsible for conducting data analysis, editing, formatting, and coding by following Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) data quality standards. Candidates must have experience in researching and analyzing numerical data along with problem solving skills to meet and maintain BLS designated data production timing requirements.
Typical duties shall include, but are not limited to:
- Process respondent files to collect monthly and quarterly employment and wage data for the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) government survey following BLS designated operation procedures.
- Conduct data analysis, editing and coding by following BLS approved data quality procedures.
- Responsible for formatting and importing data files into BLS approved software applications and databases.
- Research and write correspondence to state employment agencies to reply to data related questions.
- Provide complete and timely information on problem cases and solutions via EDI website system application.
- Imports files into databases and transmits processed confidential data to remote computer systems using approved data transfer software.
- Meet and maintain BLS designated data production timing requirements.
- Maintain BLS standards for data quality.
- Complete all assigned ancillary tasks.
Work Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relevant experience.
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced/production-oriented environment
- Attention to details; recognizes and investigates problems.
- Self-starter with strong organization skills.
- Must be proficient in the use of MS Excel (formatting, data manipulation).
- Two years’ experience using Microsoft Office tools.
- Two years’ experience using the internet for research.
- Displays excellent oral and written communication.
- Possess basic math skills required to analyze and edit monthly and quarterly data in accordance with established standards.
- Pleasant telephone voice and demeanor.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience researching and analyzing numerical data.
- Willing to acquire additional technical and PC skills.
- Consistent work history and excellent attendance.
