Position Summary
As a Solar Installer/Site Surveyor, your responsibilities are to conduct a solar site assessment as well as assemble, install, and/or maintain/service solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on roofs or other structures in accordance with design plans. May include but not be limited to; measuring, cutting, attaching, and assembling structural framing (racking systems), solar modules, and other necessary components to complete a solar installation.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid state driver's license
- Must have a clean driving record
- Must have your own transportation with space to transport a 22ft Breakdown Ladder, and/or roof space for ladder racks (Paid Mileage )
- Must have electrical and roof racking experience
- Solar Site Surveying Experience: Strongly preferred
- 1 Year of residential Solar Experience: Strongly preferred
- Solar Inverter Service: Strongly preferred
- Ability to lift 50-100 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday
- Ability to safely handle and maintain basic hand and power tools used for installation
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor
- Ability to work well others in a collaborative team environment

Job Duties:
- Travel to and from job sites and building departments
- Inspect roofs for structural integrity
- Conduct a solar site assessment for prospective customers using a smartphone and provided surveying equipment
- Complete all required documentation in timely manner
- Assemble all components of a residential solar system
- Manage and install the PV systems from beginning to end
- Structurally mount racking and electrical equipment and effectively seal all penetrations
- Maintain a clean worksite and safe working environment
- Properly use Personal Protective Equipment
- May require some travel from time to time
- Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety meetings
- Other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, work on residential rooftops, and able to work on your feet 8 hrs daily
- Be able to lift 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout the assigned workday
- Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, rain, crawl spaces, etc.)

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
