JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for daily assisting the Patient Access Coordinator and fellow team members with patient access functions including but not limited to: meeting and greeting patients, registration, insurance verification, filing, cashiering and collections, screens and directs telephone calls. Contributes and assists the physicians and staff to create timely, accurate, and quality healthcare. Reports to the Coordinator of Patient Access.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business or related field is preferred.
Minimum Work Experience
- Previous healthcare or Physician Practice experience preferred.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer skills.
- Computer skills as well as the ability to type with accurate spelling, grammar and punctuation are required.
- Having the ability to speak clearly and concisely with patients and providers is crucial.
- Must be able to perform duties and maintain personal conduct, attitude and appearance that conform to policies and procedures of the facility.
- Skills in establishing and maintaining effective and professional relationships with patients, medical staff, clerical staff and the public will be essential.

- Responsible for working extended hours including weekends and/or holidays.
- Performs accurate bedside demographic and insurance capture in the patient care area.
- Accurately enters patient information into Medical Record database with little or no error.
- Performs insurance verifications and uses electronic eligibility information to identify patient coverage status and amounts due
- Accurately records and processes Point of Service Payments.
