TKK is growing and we are looking for individuals who want to grow with us! TKK is seeking a motivated and skilled Tower Technician IV – Foreman to lead a crew of tower technicians for our Pacific Northwest market, based in Ferndale, WA. The Tower Foreman has an expert level understanding of all projects in the wireless industry including installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting equipment. The Tower Foreman will be expected to lead the crew to complete work safely and effectively, accurately understand the telecommunications SOW, and effectively complete closeout procedures in a timely manner with minimal guidance. The Tower Foreman will be expected to successfully lead, train, and mentor a crew of 2-3 other tower climbers.
Candidates should expect to spend a majority of the workday working directly on towers including travel time to work sites. Your workday may exceed 8 hours, depending on scope of work and project deadlines. We are recruiting for local/regional teams to minimize our overnight requirement for employees. Candidates from out of region are still encouraged to apply, however travel into and out of region would be at your expense, including lodging. When a team is required to stay overnight near a worksite, lodging and per diem will be provided by TKK.

As a Tower Foreman, your responsibilities will include:

• Perform wireless installations as well as test, analyze, and troubleshoot problems within the wireless network with minimal guidance for tasks performed.
• Work with all outside installation contractors and departments within the company to complete work assignments on all equipment to include carrier adds and upgrades, antennas, towers, coax cabling, and associated equipment.
• Design, organize and prioritize the crew’s daily tasks.
• Interprets various documents (e.g. blueprints, diagrams, manufacturer specifications, etc.) to ensure proper installation of antenna systems using technical expertise and knowledge of blueprints and diagrams.
• Lead a team of 2-3 tower climbers, including training junior climbers.
• Develop and maintain a positive company image and provide a strong example for crew members for quality, safety, and professionalism.

Required Qualifications:

• 3 years’ experience climbing and working on towers required.
• Experience leading, directing, and developing a team.
• A valid driver’s license with an MVR record that classifies you as insurable.
• Ability to climb towers 100 feet tall, with a 50 lb. load.
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and drive or ride in a truck for long periods of time.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, RFDS, and CDs.
• Knowledge and experience with computers including email, forms, browsers, and apps.
• Extensive experience with UMTS, Carrier Adds, and LTE upgrades.

Preferred Qualifications:

• NWSA TTT1 Certification
• PIM and Sweep Certifications

Working Conditions:

• Flexible to work shift work to include long hours and weekends if needed.
• Candidates must be willing to travel to job sites.
• Requires working outdoors in all types of weather.
• Wear all necessary safety clothing as needed such as: gloves, hard hats, eye protection, seat belts etc.
