TKK is growing and we are looking for individuals who want to grow with us! TKK is seeking a motivated and skilled Tower Technician III – Top Hand for our Pacific Northwest market, based in Ferndale, WA
. The Top Hand will have a complete understanding of the wireless industry, including, installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting equipment. The Tower Top Hand will assist the Foreman in leading a crew of 2-3 tower climbers, developing and planning project scope of work.
Candidates should expect to spend a majority of the workday working directly on towers including travel time to work sites. Your workday may exceed 8 hours, depending on scope of work and project deadlines. We are recruiting for local/regional teams to minimize our overnight requirement for employees. When a team is required to stay overnight near a worksite, lodging and per diem will be provided by TKK.

Pay: $28.00-$30.50 per hour, DOE.
As a Tower Top Hand, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing installations, test and troubleshoot problems within the wireless network.
- Complete work assignments on all equipment to include carrier adds and upgrades, antennas, towers, coax cabling, and associated equipment.
- Effectively and safely rig tower, sector frames, boom gates, antennas, and radios.
- Complete work on towers at height, while always maintaining a focus on safety.
- Provide feedback to foreman about team growth and deficiencies.
- Fully test an antenna/line system as required via PIM or Sweep.
- Wear all necessary safety clothing as needed such as: gloves, hard hats, eye protection, seat belts etc.
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years’ experience climbing and working on towers.
- A valid driver’s license with an MVR record that classifies you as insurable.
- Ability to climb towers 100 feet tall, with a 50 lb. load without fear of heights.
- Understand hand and arm signals.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and drive or ride in a truck for long periods of time.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, RFDS, and CDs.
- Experience with UMTS, Carrier Adds, and LTE upgrades.
Preferred Qualifications:
- NWSA TTT1 Certification
Working Conditions:
- Flexible to work shift work to include long hours and weekends if needed.
- Candidates must be willing to travel to job sites.
- Requires working outdoors in all types of weather.
- Wear all necessary safety clothing as needed such as: gloves, hard hats, eye protection, seat belts etc.
