ID: 60465929 Shift: To be discussed, some call will be required Description: The Echo/Vascular Technologist will provide extraordinary care to in patients and out patients by performing a variety of diagnostic cardiac or vascular exams under the direction of a physician for identification of abnormalities leading to patient diagnosis. This position has responsibility to acquire, record, catalog, and measure diagnostic quality cardiac ultrasound procedures. The Echo/Vascular Tech performs exams using proper imaging techniques to ensure timely, safe, and high quality diagnostic exams. ARDMS and BLS required. Degree/Certificate from an approved ultrasound program is preferred. Experience in the clinic and hospital setting is preferred. Additional Information:All travelers will be required to float if needed. They will only be asked to float within their skill set. ACLS is required on 4 North, Stroke and Trauma, ICU, and ER. So we only need BLS for the MedSurg/Ortho and 4 South posting. Please review all job posting requirements prior to submitting applicants for the posted position. Our facility is licensed for 400 beds and provides a variety of clinical services to meet each patient's needs. We are the Lead Level 3 Trauma Center for the region, have a nationally-recognized Intensive Care Unit, provide critical care to newborns as young as 28 weeks, perform state-of-the-art diagnostics in our radiology department, and provide complete testing and surgical capabilities for the cardiology patient among many more services. Shannon Medical Center has a 110 mile radius rule, no contractor will be employed if they live within this radius. ALL CONTRACT NURSES WILL NEED TO PASS A SHORT MEDICATION ADMINSTRATION TEST.
