4. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals and family members to ensure continuity of care.
5. Keeping accurate and detailed records of progress and outcomes.
6. Staying current with the latest research and best practices in the field through continuing education.
SLPs may work in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, private practice, or nursing homes. They may also work with a diverse population, including children, adults, and geriatric individuals.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a state license is typically required to become a SLP.
