T-Mobile for Business’s (TFB) Strategy & Planning team works with executive leaders from across the company to build the business strategy for TFB. As the Sr. Manager, Business Strategy, you will focus on identifying growth opportunities for our key products (e.g. Internet of Things), tracking market trends and competitors, and delivering insights on critical business decisions. This position works closely with Product, Finance, Marketing, Technology, and Sales.

What You’ll Do

  • Take a leading role on projects, working closely with internal stakeholders to understand key business issues,  structure and perform complex analyses, and influence key decisions
  • Synthesize recommendations and understand their impact on the business.
  • Construct executive-level presentations and present complex findings in a clear, concise, and visually compelling manner.
  • Identify company and competitor trends impacting TFB and deliver insights to executives across the organization
  • Build financial and other decision-making models such as market share and business case estimates
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to gain buy-in and drive change
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities, such as Earnings Call and Board of Directors preparations
  • Craft messaging tailored to specific audiences including summarizing past performance results and future growth initiatives
  • Support strategy project leads on ad-hoc team deliverables

Who You Are

  • Proactive problem solver who can break ambiguous problems into pieces using a hypothesis-driven approach.
  • Analytical and data-driven, comfortable triangulating data to estimate market sizes and build financial models
  • Comfortable reading and understanding implications of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements.
  • Intellectually curious, enjoys researching about new technologies and products
  • Effective communicator who knows how to bring structure and clarity to situations where direction is limited
  • Natural hustler with a contagious “can-do” attitude
  • Team player, adept at working with others to overcome obstacles and gain alignment to achieve results
  • 7 years in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or other related experience requiring quantitative analysis and executive presentation skills
  • Prior experience in B2B, Product Strategy, and/or Telecom preferred
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Economics, Statistics, or other related fields. 
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • High School Diploma or GED

New York Pay Range : $166,100.00 - $224,700.00

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives. And since we are ALL owners, EVERY employee at T-Mobile is eligible for an Annual Stock Grant.
