Vice President of Operations (On-site)
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson is accepting applications for the full-time position of Vice President of Operations.
This is a fully on-site position that may be based at either the Dickson or Clarksville Campus.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required; Master's Degree preferred.
A comparable combination of education and related post-secondary employment experience may be considered. - Minimum of five (5) years of full-time administrative experience in education, business or industry.
Experience must demonstrate increasing responsibility, supervisory experience and decision-making responsibility. - Knowledge of the principles and philosophy, techniques, and methods of technical education.
- Demonstrated abilities in leadership, human relations, communication skills (written and verbal), and organizational skills.
- Evidence of strong work ethic as it relates to timeliness of reporting, oversight of multiple on-going projects, and the ability to work with industry/employers.
- Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of network systems.
- Experience with grant writing and grant management a plus.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with students, faculty, staff, the general public, multiple local businesses, employers, industry, workforce development agencies, secondary and post-secondary institutions.
GENERAL DUTIES: The Vice President of Operations is responsible for the coordination and supervision of all activities related to facility maintenance and operation, safety and security, and information technology.
The Vice President of Operations is also responsible for budget input related to facilities, maintenance, and security areas; construction/renovation project oversight; completing and submitting reports related to areas of responsibility; crime reporting, and other duties as assigned.
The Turney Center Industrial Complex Program Coordinator and all facilities maintenance/security and custodial staff at all campus locations report to this position.
Additionally, the Vice President of Operations is responsible for providing administrative input and expertise in support of various college activities at all campus locations.
Regular travel to satellite campuses will be required.
Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
This position reports to the President.
SALARY: Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines, education and related experience.
