What are the responsibilities and job description for the Back of House (BOH) Diswasher position at Toastique?
BOH members are an incredibly important part of the Toastique team. As an integral member of the team, you will be responsible for dishwashing, ensuring items are continuously ready for use as needed, and ensuring all areas of the cafe are always clean.. You will also assist with Juicing and elsewhere in the cafe as needed. We have both full-time and part-time (weekends only) positions available. We are hiring for on-site roles for Team Members staring in mid June 2024 at the brand new Toastique in Austin, TX.

- Washing dishes, utensils and other kitchen items ensuring they are clean and dry and putting everything back where it belongs
- Putting away deliveries using FIFO (First-IN, First-OUT)
- Staying organized and prioritizing tasks
- Communicating effectively with manager(s) and/or shift leads when inventory is running low, so items do not go out of stock
- Frequently checking trash, recycling, and composting bin levels and removing them to the appropriate area when full
- Assisting with any/all station prep when needed/as requested.
- FOH duties including:
- checking for cleanliness and cleaning all tables, benches and rail surfaces
- cleaning all glass surfaces both inside and outside the cafe
- cleaning up after customer spills/accidents
- checking trash, recycling and composting bins and emptying as necessary so there is no overflow
- restocking utensils
- refilling customer water startion in FOH
- refilling FOH food stations so back up is always available
- BOH duties including:
- checking restrooms frequently - cleaning and restocking as needed
- accepting and putting away deliveries using FIFO
- checking all trash receptacles for the need to empty and removing trash to the appropriate location
- prep/restocking items
- Prior restaurant experience is preferred
