Our employees work closely with chip manufacturers, material suppliers, and other equipment suppliers to pursue common goals and learn collectively, ensuring timely solutions to the technology roadmap of the semiconductor industry.A successful Technical Buyer III regularly interface with engineering and project manager for new product development. Technical capabilities to perform supplier management and selection. Manage prototype quoting and material status.Responsibilities:As a part of the Purchasing Team you can expect to:- Identify, select and quote new product items to suppliers.
- Perform supplier management to meet enterprise goals
- Develop new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive.
- Demonstrate independent problem solving
- Develop and support new product introduction continuous improvement projects.
- Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning, and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner.
- Participate in maximizing the procurement teams' changes, part parameters; quote table maintenance, supplier database information, error report analysis, and part number/supplier code information.
- May recommend cost saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis or alternative sourcing.
- Interacts closely with suppliers and QA to resolve quality issues.
- Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of related experience.
- Proven work experience with SAP, or similar ERP
- Knowledge and experience with Bill of Materials, Logistics and Supply Chain
- Capital equipment manufacturing procurement.
- New Product introduction sourcing and procurement
- Experience with cost negotiations
- Supplier selection and qualification
- Understanding of Engineering/Product documentation
- Experience working in a change order process and revision control system
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite software
