What are the responsibilities and job description for the Actor position at tollgate hospitality?
Duties:
- Perform in various theatrical productions, including plays, musicals, and other live performances, singers and impressionists welcome, mostly comedy so being funny is the primary qualification
- mostly improv comedy but some Memorization of scripts and deliver lines with emotion and authenticity
- Portray characters and bring them to life on stage or in front of the camera
- Collaborate with directors, producers, and fellow actors to create compelling performances
- Attend rehearsals but they are very minimum. And participate in blocking and staging exercises
- Study and analyze scripts to understand character motivations and objectives
- Incorporate feedback from directors and make adjustments to performances as needed
- Maintain a professional attitude and work ethic throughout the production process
Qualifications:
- being funny, ability to do impressions, dialects, improvisation, singing is nice but not necessary.
Previous experience in acting, preferably in theater or film productions
- Strong ability to educate and entertain audiences
- Excellent memorization skills and the ability to learn lines quickly
- Proficient in portraying a range of emotions and characters
- Strong communication skills and the ability to take direction effectively
- Flexibility to adapt performances based on feedback and direction from others
- Willingness to collaborate with a team of actors, directors, and producers
- Passion for storytelling and the ability to captivate audiences with performances
