Job Duties and Responsibilities
Introduction
The TEAM Resale Shop serves the Tomball Community by offering gently used merchandise for sale at discounted prices. The Cashier/Sales Associate is a frontline customer service representative that registers sales transactions and ensures a positive experience. Additionally, this individual has responsibility for preparing and displaying merchandise on the Shop sales floor while maintaining back area conditions in a clean and organized manner. The Cashier/Sales Associate reports to the Shop Management Team.

- Physical Stamina – able to lift objects up to 50 lbs in weight
- Reliability – consistently available to work three days each week according to needs of the business; Friday and Saturday required, (except TEAM holidays and qualifying PTO). Typical work hours are 10:00AM – 5:00PM with a 30-minute lunch break.

Specific Duties
- Process customer transactions – interact with customers in a friendly manner, knowledgeable of weekly and flash sales, and able to communicate them to customers, accurate accounting of purchases
- Sort merchandise for quality control; clean merchandise in preparation for display, price merchandise according to TEAM guidelines, display merchandise in an appealing manner
- Manage the placement and rotation of warehoused backstock, maximizing the use of warehouse and sales floor space
- Make sure tools and supplies necessary to accomplish all tasks are available; request replenishment in a timely manner
- Work with Shop Management Team to develop, implement, and improve Shop processes
- Uphold TEAM standards of cleanliness, presentation, and repair
- Train and support Volunteers to understand and consistently follow TEAM procedures
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
