What are the responsibilities and job description for the Golf Instructor (Part-Time) position at Topgolf?
The Golf Instructor role will instruct Topgolf Guests in golf skills in individual lessons or in groups, conduct youth academies, and provide instruction & guidance for large group events. The Golf Instructor will be responsible for hitting specific lesson booking/revenue targets & utilization goals on a recurring basis.
This position will be a part time role that is expected to work 15-25 hours per week, the majority of which will be spent teaching. Instructors that succeed in the role may be considered for full time instruction positions.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate, schedule and teach Guest lessons and classes
* Utilize swing analysis technology and learning theories, and integrate teaching aids in all programs
* Assist in the operation of Topgolf Kids Academies
* Serve as a golf professional for Topgolf Events and Tournaments
* Work with the events team to promote lessons at Topgolf events
* Walk the tee line to generate leads and bookings (when not engaged in golf instruction)
* Supervise information requests regarding or pertaining to scheduling of lessons and instructional series
* Perform club fittings & sell golf equipment to Topgolf Guests and Students
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree preferred
* 1-2 years experience teaching golf lessons with experience coaching different levels of golfers
* PGA Membership a plus
* Proven track record of successful instruction
* Social and interpersonal skills required to interact with all Topgolf Guests
* Familiarity with swing analysis technology and launch monitor technology
* Ability to work on a team
* Energetic and enthusiastic
* Ability to work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time
* Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays
* Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time including maneuvering up and down stairs
