What are the responsibilities and job description for the Real Estate Development Manager position at Topgolf?
Overall support and management of all phases of the pre-construction process to help drive the efforts of the Real Estate Development team and execute upon a robust new venue growth strategy. Work collaboratively with the Real Estate, Development, Legal, and Construction team members from project inception through completion. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to, identifying and resolving issues related to real estate transactions, site planning, due diligence, development agreements, regulatory approvals, design coordination, and schedule and budget management for new venue locations across the United States.
Responsibilities
- Management of complex projects by partnering with a team comprised of real estate brokers, attorneys, architects & engineers, surveyors, consultants, general contractors, owners, lenders, and municipal / regulatory representatives for successful project execution
- Management and support of the real estate team with site acquisitions and securing project entitlements / permits with full understanding of the project strategy and potential risks
- Management of due diligence process, project schedules, and budgets
- Perform various types of administrative tasks associated with development, including but not limited to, the preparation of due diligence memos, site plan review summary, powerpoint presentations for internal / external project approvals, and other requirements as needed
- Participate in weekly conference calls and meetings with key internal and external partners as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Real Estate Development, Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree required
- 4 years Real Estate Development, Construction, and / or Engineering experience in a role with progressing levels of responsibilities
- 3 years High degree of technical experience including knowledge of site development, real estate, and public approval processes
- 3 years thorough understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and the entitlement process
- 3 years budget management, project scheduling, and cost control experience
- 1 years site planning experience with autocad
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Proven ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Proven ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage teams within multiple disciplines effectively
- Self-starter with the ability to work with different types of professionals
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to handle and manage rapidly changing priorities and multiple tasks
- Team player that can keep procedures and reports streamlined and efficient
- Must respect and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Project
