Job Summary:

Operations and Supply Chain Manager will help implement the step change in organizational systems now required, leading, and monitoring all aspects of the supply chain from raw material ordering to finished goods delivery including managing preparation, execution, and delivery to the project schedule through robust KPIs, intervening where necessary to resolve issues. In this position s/he will work closely with the Senior Management Team, the Operations and Supply Manager will a leading role in delivering company objectives and targets as defined in out MTP and longer-term strategy. S/he will also be responsible for leading the teams in meeting the needs of our customers and in production the highest standard of product with maximum efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of an efficient operation to ensure that customers’ orders that are produced on time, safely, to the correct standard of quality and at or below budgeted costs.
  • Interpret Demand Forecasting and variance by using available data and statistical and Planning tools.
  • Analysis, scheduling, and evaluation of work center capacity to evaluate scheduling constraints.
  • Lead the development, training, and motivation of teams, ensuring they have the capability to highly perform in their roles.
  • Line management, coaching/mentoring, and development of team members across supply chain, demand management, production/testing, and warehousing.
  • Lead and motivate the supply chain and manufacturing operations team through ongoing communications, development of PDPs, one on one discussions, team briefings, etc. to enable employees to realize their full potential and add value to TREC’s business.
  • Support sales and project management with customer engagement activities such as audits, site visits, etc. to demonstrate the depth of manufacturing expertise and capability.
  • Improvement in production/materials planning and reduce inventories to minimize working capital.
  • Manage the Enterprise Resource Planning System (Infor Syteline) as required for the production and supply chain process.
  • Oversee the warehousing operations and transport functions.
  • Be capable of solving complex challenges and leading the team through change.
  • Manage supply chain and manufacturing operations overhead budgets to plan, identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiencies where possible.
  • Be responsible for goods-in and goods-out leading the process flow of product through its life cycle. Work to ensure strong supply chains are in place to support long term growth.DESCRIPTION
  • Responsibility for achieving established supply chain and manufacturing KPI’s against agreed targets to ensure that OTD’s are met, and customer schedules are maintained.
  • Create, promote, and lead a culture of continual improvement by encouraging team members to take accountability, identify and realize opportunities for positive change through lean principles, tools, and techniques.
  • S/he will be expected to effectively utilize and monitor all supply chain staff to ensure raw materials are supplied on time and to a high quality.
  • Giving key input to sales and the development of new procedures to cope with the rapidly increasing customer demands.
  • Ensuring raw materials are ordered on time to meet supply chain targets.
  • Liaise with the other managers to set and to measure KPIs critical to total operational and supply chain improvements.
  • Strive to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines.
  • Establish workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety or integrity.
  • Communicate any problems to the senior management team timely while also offering recommendations to improve.
  • Involvement in quality issues to investigate the root cause analysis and ensure corrective / preventative actions are implemented and sustainable.
  • Undertake any other reasonable and relevant duties as required by the senior management team aimed to enhance the business.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Hold a degree (or near equivalent) in a relevant field. And or APICS certification
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a senior management level role.
  • Flexible to work outside core business hours when required by the demands of the business.
  • Confidence
  • Demonstrated project and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated history of leadership skills including coaching, mentoring, performance management and recruitment.
  • Strong track record of delivering results in an operational and supply chain environment.
  • Strong supply chain skills.
  • Strong analytical skills (be a “super user” in MS Excel).
  • Strong MRP/ERP experience
  • Power BI experience
  • Technical skills.
