JOB SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Assistant Manager, the Shipping Lead is responsible for servicing the Tory Burch Brand through the accurate, timely shipping of all orders. The lead will collaborate with the shipping clerk in preparing outbound orders according to request, as well as directing the workflow of the employees within the department. JOB DESCRIPTION RESPONSIBILITIES Directing Workflow Perform audits of loads to ensure integrity and accountability Directs the workflow of the employees within the department, in partnership with the shipping clerk Teamwork Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required. Assists the shipping clerk in the floor set-up of outbound loads Assists in training shipping Associates. Safety Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner following defined work methods and procedures. Assists in maintaining the security of the warehouse by conducting operations in a manner which promotes safety of employees and security of product. Informs supervisor of any unsafe or hazardous working conditions. Accuracy Ensures the timely and accurate shipments of outbound loads Other duties as required and assigned. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES NOT COVERED IN FOCUS AREAS Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with co-workers. Ability to read and interpret simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple reports and correspondence. Ability to make mathematical computations. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instruction. Ability to compare incoming deliveries against purchase orders and specifications, following up on discrepancies and inconsistencies. Ability to communicate, read, and writes clearly in basic English. Ability to demonstrate outstanding customer service at all times. Skill in operating business computers and office machines, including word-processing, spreadsheets, database software programs, and e-mail. EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED High school diploma or GED 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training in a Distribution Center / Warehouse Excellent oral and written communication skills, must speak/understand English.
