GCM (Global Commodity Manager)

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a Procurement Specialist IV – GCM (Global Commodity Manager). GCM leverage TGCS's spending power to deliver competitive advantage in the form of cost, quality, delivery and technology to our clients and stakeholders. They define and manage effective and influential supplier relationships that enable buyers and sellers to collaborate on a common set of strategies, influence design and exploit innovative opportunities. GCM's drive strategic sourcing initiatives in support of our business needs and provide an ongoing supplier relationship and management role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for TGCS Self Check Out Systems.
• Background in understanding metal fabrication and plastic molding processes.
• Experience of negotiating and develop appropriate contracts with suppliers.
• Perform all new sourcing activities, drive supplier selection and cost management
• Influence clients' business decisions through effective early client interlock and leveraging of the entire procurement team.
• Establish cost structures (Cost model) for each commodity; understand the cost details in manufacturing, transportation and other portions of end-to-end supply chain.
• Drive cost reductions in an end-to-end supply chain cost view with various ways.
• Supplier relationship management; supplier performance management
• Support TGCS procurement objectives (Annual cost savings target and supply assurance etc.) and sourcing strategy
• Support and manage new product introduction from concept to mass production
• Understand product/commodity technical requirement and industry/marketing environment.
• Support supply assurance/critical order management
• Drive category and spend management reviews

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4-year Degree in Business or related area of study or 4 years prior experience in Procurement/Supply.
• Critical thinking and strong decision-making skills
• Procurement and Supply chain business acumen
• Metal Fabrication and Molding sourcing preferred
• Strong Communication skills(Verbal & Written)
