Lvn Job Summary
Our facility seeks an LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) to work as an integral part of our patient care team. In this role, you will provide basic medical and nursing care to patients and track their conditions, aiming to make them as comfortable as possible. You will take vitals, explain any procedures, and administer medication safely. You must work with physicians to develop patient care plans. Our ideal candidate has a state license, relevant experience, and patient care skills.
Lvn Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide basic medical and nursing care to patients by taking vitals, answering questions, and keeping patients comfortable
- Complete patient paperwork
- Administer medication to patients
- Record patient progress or any changes in their health
- Collect and send medical samples to labs as needed
- Triage
- Taking vital signs
- History intake
- Medication reconciliation
- Phlebotomy, IV sticks
Lvn Requirements and Qualifications
- Board-approved degree or certificate in nursing, health sciences, or a related field
- State license or a passing grade on the NCLEX-PN exam to earn state licensure
- Experience and skills in patient care and support
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Good bedside manner
- Empathetic personality
