Dedicated Delivery Route Coverage Specialist/Utility

Job Description:

• Coverage of dedicated delivery routes at domicile locations (with multiple stops)
• FULL TIME position, NO BEING ON CALL
• Tractor/Trailer combo-Day cab and 48’ trailer with lift gate
• Dispatch time are mainly between 11:00 pm – 2:00 am with a typical end time based on the route being covered
• 5 days per week TUESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY 
• You WILL get home every weekend, "weekends" are defined as Sunday and Monday with this position
• Drivers are responsible for on-time and accurate delivery
• The freight is delivering auto parts to auto dealerships
• The freight is packaged, floor loaded vehicle parts - drivers physically (hand) unload trailers with lift gates on every trailer to assist with deliveries
• Doubles Endorsement and willingness to train on doubles is required
• Dispatches from Cedar Rapids, Iowa weekly but WILL REQUIRE travel to MN, WI, IA, ND, SD, NE & MO for the week (varies week to week)
• Driver leaves Cedar Rapids Monday late afternoon/evening to arrive at assigned location to begin work shift at approximately midnight 
• Route end time depends on assigned location and route,  routes are approximately 10 hours in duration
• DLI will reimburse personal miles or rent a vehicle to travel to the domicile location
• Driver will stay in a hotel directly billed to DLI while at the  domicile location
• $20 per day per diem while the driver is traveling

Starting Pay: $275 per Day + $10,000 Sign on Bonus + Full Benefit Package

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Class A CDL A
• Must be able to travel/be out on the road away from the Cedar Rapids domicile location TUESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY weekly
• Doubles endorsement is required
• At least 6 months of verifiable Class A CDL driving experience 
• Age 21 or older
• No preventable DOT Recordable accidents while operating a CMV in the last 5 years
• No more than 2 property damage or fixed object accidents while operating a CMV in the last 3 years
• No DUI/DWI, Careless/Reckless driving citations or revoked/suspended license in the past 5 years
• No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years
• No use of electronic device while driving violations
• Review and approval of the PSP Driver Violations Report
• Criminal background Check Required
• Able to pass a complete DOT physical, drug screen, and road test
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds
• Good customer service skills
