Job Title:  Affiliate Accounting Associate

Department: Accounting – WP Holdings Group

Location: Milford, CT

Reports to: Affiliate Accountant

Position Supervises: NA

General Purpose & Scope:

The entry level accounting position is responsible for daily accounts payable tasks & some accounts receivable tasks. These responsibilities include receiving, posting, and paying all invoices accordingly for each company and disbursing invoices as needed.

Responsibilities/Functions:

  • Upload all invoices
  • Enter all invoices into accounting system
  • Prepare weekly AP reports
  • Prepare weekly check run
  • Disbursing all online payments
  • W9 management
  • Generate customer invoices
  • Follow up on aged payables/receivables
  • Assist with accounting related tasks, as needed

Personal Traits/Competencies:

  • Ability to work independently & effectively
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic math skills
  • Oral & written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task 

Technical/computer skills:

  • Proficient using Microsoft Excel, preferred
  • General accounting knowledge, preferred but not required

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years related experience

Hours for position:

M-F 9am-5pm

This position may require additional hours, at times, and must be available to work additional hours on short notice as determined by management.
