What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Packer position at Total Quality Assurance International LLC?
SUMMARY:
You’ll be part of a distribution team that gets orders ready for customers relying on Total Quality Assurance International's services. Our fast-paced, physical roles take place in picking, sorting, packing and shipping orders.
Packers are responsible for analyzing order slips that come into the warehouse, choosing the correct items on the order slip, and packing them safely to prepare them for shipping. Packers are also responsible for packing items to comply with the company’s standards, including packing materials in the boxes and placing the packages on the wooden skid to protect the items during transportation. In addition, packers will process returned items by following all customer service, merchandise disposition and refurbishing steps. Resale merchandise must be bagged, boxed, labeled and stored for future picking.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Use scanners to read bar codes on products
View prompts on screens and follow the directions for tasks
Troubleshoot problems
Ensure product meets quality requirements
Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, pallet drivers and other gear to move items around
Lift up to 49 pounds
Stand, walk, push, pull, bend and reach during shifts
Adhere to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment product standards
Work on small teams that support each other
Keep work area and other facilities clean, orderly and safe
