Marketing Manager/Sales Director

 

Summary/Objective 

Objective - Develop sales and marketing a strategy aimed at directing and orchestrating sales and marketing activities for the organization as well as developing policies and procedures to support the functions.

This position will report to the Director of Operations and Field Support.  

Essential Functions

 

  • Responsibility for overseeing sales and marketing operations for the organization.
  • Conducting a business analysis of current sales division and operations and provide recommendations to help modify existing sales operations processes and provide improvements.
  • Providing strategic sales planning, forecasting at regular intervals, analyzing all sales operations, and modifying them to make them more efficient without sacrificing effectiveness and quality.
  • Development of sales and marketing business plan to meet market demand, allocate resources to elevate sales to reach all sales operations goals and measure performance.
  • Development of comprehensive and measurable sales and marketing campaigns and work hand-in-hand with existing sales team to execute sales and marketing plan and increase productivity.
  • Providing strategic recommendations on sales structure, pricing and commission rates.

Specific to marketing, this role will be primarily responsible for gathering, organizing, and analyzing information (market behavior, trends, competition, etc.) to plan advertising campaigns. It will include the following duties:

  • Development a marketing strategy and plan based on insights and data to meet the needs of the marketplace and promote our business.
  • Initiate market research studies, analyze data, and present findings and use data to drive strategies.
  • Research, write, edit and proof all levels of copy for corporate collateral materials for (internal and external) print and broadcast to achieve sales and business development goals positioned to reach our target audience that resonate with marketing campaigns.
  • Build, implement and write social media programs and coordinate social media activities Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Google+ and Issuu for the organization ensure appropriate messaging is executed online to support corporate goals.
  • Respond to social media inquiries about online activities in a timely and courteous fashion.
  • Execute and refine TSC's credibility and build online communities to create integrated marketing campaigns ensuring consistency in voice and brand.
  • Monitor all managed social media channels to analyze trends, source new tools/applications and recommend actions/next steps.
  • Work collaboratively with staff from across the organization to promote their goals and messages while maintaining and aligning with corporate message and image.
  • Regularly report insights gained from feedback on advertising and social media monitoring to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Use creative thinking and initiatives to analyze site performance metrics and make recommendations on content, site design or features to improve effectiveness of web content and/or applications.
  • Provide support to other team members for online promotions (such as WordPress, Sugar CRM, Google Ads campaigns and Constant Contact).
  • Create ads, or provide creative direction for agency, graphic designers, if necessary direct the hiring of advertising, promotions, and marketing agency or staff (contractors/freelancers) and oversee their activities.
