What are the responsibilities and job description for the IH Tech position at Total Safety?
Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Able to calibrate meters and pumps to ensure accurate sampling. Able to download data from all types of data logging equipment.
- Can read and understand an IH sampling plan and sample physical and chemical stressors, complete IH data sheets, and send samples to lab.
- Conduct indoor air quality – IAQ- studies and document results. Use instrumentation to provide quantitative data to assess the space.
- Possess the skills necessary to produce reports in Word, complete data sheets, chain of custody reports for the lab, enter data into Excel and complete Excel tables.
- Conduct safety and health evaluations and tests to note if ventilation, personal protective equipment, lighting and other conditions are adequate to protect workers.
- Contact clients to confirm location for sampling, work with administrative staff to book all travel arrangements, assure sample plan is met.
