Total Security, LLC is growing, and we are looking for the right candidates to start immediately for our Menards Gate Attendant positions, main focus is inventory control. We have openings for both 1st shifts and 2nd shifts.
The Gate attendant's primary duty is to provide excellent Customer Service by ensuring a one-stop experience through consistently verifying the accuracy of all orders. The ideal candidate should posses the following:
Primary Duties:
- Positive Attitude
- Reliable Transportation/Own Vehicle
- Candidate should be comfortable using both phones, tablets, & 2-way radio's
- Ability to pass a IChat background check
- Be at least 18 years of age
- 2 references
- Be comfortable in all weather conditions
- Gate attendants will complete thorough inspections and accurate counts of all orders and products exiting the lumberyard.
- Each gate attendant will keep the gatehouse clean and organized. This will include, but is not limited to, cleaning all window and patio door tracks, and emptying all garbage daily.
- Each gate attendant will turn the gatehouse lights on when it is getting dark and leave them on overnight. Any heater(s) must be turned off at the end of each night by flipping the breaker switch or unplugging the device.
- At closing, the gate attendant will close and lock the yard gates after all the Customers have exited.
- After the gatehouse is secure, the gate attendant will make a required perimeter check of the outside yard fence area and will bring the paperwork, radio, headset/ear piece, spare radio battery/charger, and tablets inside turning everything in to the Manager on duty (all gate attendants will check all vehicles into the outside yard by physically going out of the gatehouse and greeting the customer at their vehicle).
- The gate attendant will give a polite greeting to everyone exiting the lumberyard.
- Use the tablet to check the customer out of the yard.
- All gate attendants will make sure that any merchandise leaving the yard is paid for.
- The gate attendants will inspect and count delivery haulers or contractor representatives the same as any Customer.
