DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand, communicate, and enforce Company Safety, Quality and Accountability Program (PASS).
- Participate in Team meetings and safety meetings.
- Use of hand and machine tools in the performance of craft.
- Direct lower-level personnel in work activities.
- Operates stinger crane, forklift, man lift, and skip loader.
- Takes measurements for minor pipe drawings and fabrication.
- Cuts gaskets, dismantles flanges and screwed pipe, removes, and replaces valves, reads, and works from blueprints, specifications, shop mathematics, and sketches.
- Performs and type of plate, sheet, and structural steel work for laying out, fabricating, assembling, erecting, installing, dismantling, inspecting, repairing, altering, testing, and leveling.
- Performs related work in secondary crafts (i.e., scaffolding, etc.).
- Performs all types of rigging, hoisting, lowering, and moving of heavy material.
- Should be willing to take courses in team leadership and other supervisory subjects as offered.
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Prior experience in industrial maintenance in similar industry.
- Must pass the TWI Craftsman test with a score of 80% or better.
- Must be certified to operate stinger crane, forklift, man lift, and skip loader.
- Takes measurements for minor pipe drawing and fabrications.
- Can identify, describe, select, maintain, and is proficient in use of tooling.
- Should have knowledge of fabrication and can assist welders.
- Must have experience in refineries and production fields.
- Proficient in rigging and hand signals.
- Must be able to understand verbal & written orders & issue instructions accurately and clearly for proper execution.
- Must demonstrate good attitude and judgement in safety and the ability to work alone & with others as a team member.
- Should be able to work as a temporary foreman for vacation relief and /or special projects.
- Work in varying weather conditions: hot, cold, and wet conditions.
- Works in areas with large industrial equipment subject to high noise levels.
- May work in areas with hazardous chemicals.
- Works outdoors on uneven surfaces.
- May be required to stand, stoop, bend, and crouch for long periods of time.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Communications: Able to read, write, speak & comprehend English fluently
- Hearing: Hearing adequate to perform job duties
- Speaking: Able to communicate clearly in person and over phone
- Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties as indicated
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.50 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
