What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator GME and UGME position at Tower Health?
- The Graduate Medical Education (GME) and Undergraduate Medical Education (UGME) Coordinator works with the Director of Medical Education
- Coordination of GME responsibilities and utilization of resources to maintain accreditations/recertification and Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and reach set goals for the department.
- The coordinator oversees the coordination of clinical medical students throughout the RH entity with a focus on excellent customer service in order to promote RH as an ideal place for clinicians to work.
- Prepares welcome packet and agenda for resident orientation, contacts speakers, sets up room schedule, contacts new residents with orientation
schedule. - Assists DME in coordinating resident functions and Resident Mixer.
- Creates and distributes surveys using Survey Monkey.
- Works with DME in coordinating the development and creation of new residency applications and programs.
- Assists DME in creation and updating new manuals and policies.
- Addresses and resolves any resident questions or problems throughout the academic year.
- Processes check requests associated with students and resident
- Support DME for site visit preparations by accrediting bodies
- Oversees on-boarding of clinical students to ensure logistical efficiency (scheduling, badges, housing, parking, computer accesses, travel
assistance). - Oversees all observers (shadowing) at RH facilities. Communicate and ensure adherence to policy, process paperwork (forms, background checks,
immunization checks) - Ordering Diploma certificates for all graduating residents and fellows
- Coordination of the DEI subcommittee, assisting the chair to disseminate schedule and agenda and writing meeting minutes
- Assist on event planning (Welcome BBQ for the Residents and Fellows, Thank a Resident Day, and other events)
- Student support and problem resolution (Epic, Healthstream, computer access, rotation issues, student injuries/illness, student mail, roommate
issues) - Student enrichment session coordination (lecture schedule, send reminder emails, set up meeting room).
- Provides support for CAO and DME by maintaining calendar, setting up meetings, answering phone, handling incoming/outgoing mail, and invoice
processing
