What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traffic Supervisor position at Town of Burlington?
Reporting to the Community Services Supervisor, this 15-hour per week position controls and directs motor vehicle and pedestrian traffic in school crossing areas on days that school is in session. May manually operate traffic lights and make reports of accidents or unsafe traffic situations.
This position may also be offered Matron assignments for the Burlington Police Department.
Minimum qualifications include high school diploma, ability to use arm and hand signals.
This position is included within the Burlington Municipal Employees Association bargaining unit. Position is scheduled for 3 hours per day during days that school is in session, requiring morning and afternoon shifts. Starting salary at Grade 2, Step I of the BMEA contract $17.43 per hour. Pay is $22.00 per hour when performing Matron duties.
