Camp Supervisor will be responsible for the daily operation of the summer camp program. The position will call for but not limited to administrative work related to camp, approval of camp counselor weekly plans and activities, discipline of campers and camp staff, and communication with parents and guardians of participants. Must be 18 years of age, pursuing a bachelor's degree or graduation from an accredited college or university with course work in child related field or one year of programming experience in the group care of children. Must have a valid driver's license. Works under the direction of the Sports and Recreation Program Supervisors. CPR/First Aid certified prior to the first day of camp and will be required to attend mandatory staff training, June 3-6 from 4:00pm-9:00pm; schedule: Monday-Friday, various daytime hours between 7am-6pm, June 17-August 9.
- Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma and 18 years of age, pursuing a bachelor's degree or graduation from an accredited college or university with course work in a child related field, and/or one year of programming experience in the group care of children.
- Ability to pass health screening(s) required.
- Criminal record check required.
- CPR and standard first aid certification required, may be obtained after hire date.
- Required to work during the 4th of July Independence Day Celebration; and other departmental events as needed.
