Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Zebulon, NC for a Firefighter. The Firefighter will be responsible for responding to emergency calls, providing medical aid, combating and extinguishing fires, conducting rescue operations, and performing duties to ensure public safety. The role requires strong physical endurance and the ability to work in high-stress situations.
Qualifications
- Firefighting, fire suppression, and rescue operations expertise
- Emergency medical services (EMS) knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of fire safety codes, regulations, and procedures
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform strenuous tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in high-stress situations and make quick decisions
- Certifications in firefighting and EMS (e.g., Firefighter I/II, EMT-B, Paramedic)
- Experience in operating firefighting equipment and vehicles
- Experience in hazardous materials handling
- Driver's license with a clean driving record
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Experience as a volunteer firefighter, military service, and additional firefighting-related certifications are beneficial.
