What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Publications Analyst position at Toyota Material Handling?
About the Job:
This position will be responsible for editing and reviewing all technical documentation, manuals, and articles submitted for publication. The successful candidate will be able to coordinate with multiple departments to create high quality documents supporting Toyota’s dealers and customers.
What You’ll Be Doing:
In this role you will perform functions including:
- Sets and enforces standards for the company’s publications.
- Plans, creates, and maintains technical publications required for various projects based on updates to existing materials or new information.
- Organizes reviews of material for technical accuracy and makes edits according to feedback.
- Educates dealer staff by creating dealer facing articles for the knowledge base.
- Issues product information via dealer notifications, bulletins, or other communications.
- Initiates revisions of technical publications based on user feedback.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Additional duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline preferred. Alternative degrees and extensive work. experience in relevant industries will be considered.
- Two or more years of experience in technical communication or publications.
- Experience and strong working knowledge in FrameMaker, Microsoft Excel, Word.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with customer or dealer communications a plus.
