Who we’re looking for
The VPP Technology Manager plays a critical role in leading the planning, development, and execution of complex technical initiatives that enable mFin/new/enhanced digital capabilities critical to transforming the existing VPP business. These capabilities are focused on enhancing the customer/dealer experience, leveraging the digital channel to drive speed and flexibility and drive profitability via revenue generation and/or cost reductions.
The role requires the ability to integrate multiple departments (VPP, Sales, Customer Servicing, IDS, Legal, Digital Retailing, etc.) and company perspectives, identify strategic intersections and opportunities, and drive toward an integrated plan.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead workstreams that enable VPP Digital capabilities such as automated product rating, forms and booking, field-issued agreements, menu integration, DMS integration, claims and cancellation automation.
- Identify and champion strategies where the business can leverage technology to improve efficiencies and drive self-service options.
- Develop and communicate project roadmaps (technology, business, pilots, field rollout, etc.) to align the organization; anticipate issues; identify solutions.
- Manage resources from concept through implementation.
- Leverage judgment, technical expertise, and relationships to identify the most efficient and flexible ways to deliver projects that keep future enhancements in mind.
- Facilitate project requests and prioritize TMIS technology-related initiatives.
- Lead cross-organizational teams, (including business, DnA, and technology) with as many as 10 departments, factories, and/or vendors, responsible for delivering digital capabilities.
- Lead and coach team members on developing integrated plans, project management skills, technical expertise, driving efficiency, and successfully navigating the agile factory model.
- Develop strategies for team member cross-training and backup.
- Create and distribute communications to Field offices on new or changed initiatives.
- Initiate and facilitate meetings as needed to drive and/or advance company priorities.
- Represent TFS in various industry settings upon request.
- Member of various VPP department project teams as needed.
- Member of various Toyota cross-affiliate teams as needed.
- Partner with Field Sales to understand the needs of dealers and develop new product strategies to provide the best value to dealers and end consumers.
- Participate in training and development programs to ensure continued learning and self-development.
- As a Business/Technology SME, provide the TFS Organization with cross-organization leadership during the planning and deployment of Enterprise Business and Technology solutions.
What you bring
- Four-Year College Degree (BA or BS).
- 5-10 years of relevant work experience (in a similar field and/or industry).
- Experience in technology implementations, project management, and VPPs.
- Ability to successfully navigate the new VPP Domain model.
- Ability to lead and push projects to completion with minimal guidance.
- Ability to think strategically.
- Ability to communicate effectively, influence others, and drive alignment.
