The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring is seeking motivated and engaging SAT or ACT tutors for assignments with local students in Nassau County, NY.

Hours: 8-20/week
Compensation: $60/hr , commensurate
Location: Area High School
The Position:
- Provide in-person test prep classes to students in grades 9-12
- Classes last 2 hours
- Teaching assignments will be regular and reliable
- Sessions are generally scheduled between 3PM and 10PM EST during the week and between 10am - 4pm on weekend days

- Four-year degree from an accredited college or university
- ACT/SAT tutoring/teaching experience, with multi-student course teaching experience preferred for course instructors
- Excellent English and mathematics instruction skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Enthusiasm for helping students succeed
- Access to a reliable car and be willing to travel to and teach in students' homes and schools within 30 minutes of their home.
- Pass a background check
- Be willing and able to work in the afternoons and evenings (especially 6–10 PM).
