Our client, a leader in manufacturing and exporting roofing materials around the globe, has a rare opportunity for a Production Superintendent to join their team in Hillsboro, TX.
As the Production Superintendent you will ensure the production of products that exceeds customer expectations in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner. You will lead and coach Production Operators to meet all safety, environmental, quality, cost and service goals and objectives
This is a strategic level position focusing on production and leadership.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Overseeing all plant operations from Maintenance to quality.
- Partnering with the Quality Control Coordinator to ensure that finished product meets all customer requirements through continuous improvement and utilization of the plant quality management system
- Partnering with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure equipment reliability at optimal efficiency and cost
- Providing leadership and support to the overall reliability strategy including the involvement of production employees in TPM
- Providing leadership to drive continuous improvement through the application of Lean Manufacturing concepts such as Kaizen events working directly with the production and maintenance teams
- Assuring employee training (quality, safety, process, etc.) is effective and completed
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- A 4-year degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or relevant technical experience
- 5-10 years of experience leading teams and managing others
- Previous experience as a Plant Superintendent or Plant Engineer
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- Excellent communication skills (being bilingual is a plus)
- Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement initiatives including Lean manufacturing
- Strong planning, analytical and troubleshooting skills in an industrial environment
- Flexibility with your schedule and the ability to be on call as needed
