The Banquet Supervisor is responsible for daily supervision of the banquet staff, quality service, guest satisfaction and safety. In conjunction with Banquet management, ensure banquet services comply with proper food handling, policies and procedures, brand standards, and federal, state and local regulations. Promptly reports emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, engineering items and safety hazards to management. Reports any deviations from policies, procedures, brand standards and regulations to management.
What you will be doing
- Supervise set-up, food and beverage preparation and service to ensure compliance with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and catering procedures. Ensure optimal level of service, quality and hospitality.
- Supervise room set-up before function start time to ensure BEO directions are properly followed including table drapes, silverware setting, napkins and centerpieces. Ensure cleanliness of linen, silverware, glassware and public areas. Ensure banquet staff is ready to begin on time and according to plan. Supervise room breakdown at end of function.
- Ensure guest checks are priced, written, and signed by the guest according to planned arrangements.
- Calculate and prepare daily gratuities and payroll ensuring accurate, prompt reporting.
- Supervise and monitor the maintenance/sanitation of Banquet areas and equipment to protect assets and ensure quality service.
- Ensure completion of necessary inventory checks, product returns and month-end inventory reconciliation, as requested.
