Construction Laborer

My name is Sean Tracy and I run a small, Round Rock-based remodeling company that is looking for a qualified individual to assist with remodeling jobs in Round Rock, TX and surrounding areas. While previous experience in construction is strongly preferred, it is not required so long as the candidate has strong character and work ethic, an ability to follow directions well, is good with their hands, takes initiative, shows up on time consistently and communicates well, and is willing to apply themselves to learn the skills of the trade. As a contractor, I am highly committed to excellence and professionalism in my work, and I view that work that I do not only as a source of income, but even more so as an opportunity to serve my community by providing a high standard of craftsmanship at a fair and reasonable price. Therefore, a successful candidate will not only have the previously mentioned characteristics, but will also be personable and respectful, as we will spend a lot of time in other people’s homes interacting with homeowners.

Pay for this position varies from $16 to $25 per hour depending on skill and experience. Someone on the higher end of that range will not only contain all of the traits mentioned above, but also have a high level of skill and experience in most carpentry tasks, and an ability to achieve satisfactory results without direct supervision. This job is Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day, and work will typically begin at 8:30AM in the morning, and will go until 5PM in the evening, with a half hour lunch break.

Qualifications:

• Driver’s License and reliable transportation (required)
• 18 years or older (required)
• High School Diploma (required)
• US Citizen (required)
• Ability to lift at least 60 lbs at a time. (required)
• Ability to speak English
• Knowledge and experience in the operation of most basic power and hand tools (required)
• 1 years previous experience in construction (preferred)

Responsibilities:

• Assist lead carpenter with various residential remodeling jobs and tasks, including but not limited to: bathroom and kitchen renovation, drywall, flooring, tiling, trim carpentry, painting, window and door installation, and more.
• Accurately measure, mark and cut a variety of construction materials.
• Jobsite cleanup as necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 45 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
