Your Part in It:
Working out of our Canadian headquarters in the West-Island of Montreal, we are looking for our next Customs Rater. You will be responsible for administering the customs release and confirmation process for import transactions arriving via all modes of transport.
The role entails the reviewing and processing of Customs commercial documentation and supporting clients towards accurate and compliant declarations. The Senior Rater’s role must also ensure client satisfaction through consistent customer service and is expected to perform this role to meet client expectations while respecting company policies.
CUSTOMS RATER
What the Job Entails:
- Reviews invoices, manifests and other supporting documents for conformity to customs and corporate regulations
- Data Entry of commercial invoices into Customs Operating system
- Obtains customs paperwork by calling client when required
- Verifies documentation for rating compliance
- Prepares and submits release packages to Canada Customs
- Provides customer service as required
- Provides accurate information and assistance to customers requiring information
- Processes B3 entries to meet Company and Canada Customs compliance standards
What We Are Looking For:
- CCS Designation or LCB preferred
- Previous experience in customs processing formalities
- Familiar with Transportation documentation and manifesting requirements (all modes).
- Accurate data entry skills
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- English & French (written and spoken)
- Experience in a busy customer focused environment
- Able to deal with changing priorities
