Your Part in It:
Working remotely based in Ontario, we are looking for our next Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Specialist. As a member of Traffic Tech’s EDI Team, the EDI Specialist’s role is to maintain existing EDI customer configurations and perform EDI setups for new trading partners. This includes reading and interpreting trading partner EDI specifications, EDI file setup, modes of transfer, and X12 compliance. The EDI specialist will also plan, coordinate, and perform the activities required to move trading partners from discovery to production.
ELECTRONIC DATA INTERCHANGE (EDI) SPECIALIST
What the Job Entails
- Work directly with EDI trading partners and Traffic Tech end-users
- Read and interpret EDI specification documents provided by trading partners
- Develop, modify, and document mappings as per EDI specifications
- Coordinate with Traffic Tech software developers when required
- Perform internal testing with back-end application
- Coordinate end-to-end EDI testing with trading partners
- Establish signoff criteria and go-live date with trading partners
- Deploy EDI mappings, partner configurations, and file transfer setups into production
- Engage in post go-live support and system monitoring
- Provide clear status updates to management on the progress with all on-going EDI implementations
- Monitor the production environment and proactively prioritize, communicate, and resolve any EDI process or system issues both internal and with trading partners
What We Are Looking For
- A minimum of 3 years in EDI mapping, design, and analysis
- Experience with integration and implementation of EDI trading partners
- Experience of ANSI X12 EDI standard and best practices
- Experience with EDI, XML and flat files
- Experience with connectivity solutions VAN, AS2 and SFTP
- Experience in the transportation logistics industries
- Experience implementing EDI 204, 990, 214 and 210 transactions
- Experience with Microsoft BizTalk 2016 or higher
- Experience with XSLT mapping
- Experience with .NET C#
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio
- Good to excellent experience and understanding of Microsoft SQL queries and programming
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Exemplary follow-up and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to details
- Must be self-motivated, have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Outstanding team player with a positive attitude who can deal with and quickly grasp complex applications and business processes
