Job Summary:
Trail87, a popular restaurant in the heart of West Dover, VT, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Server to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
1. Greet and welcome guests, present menus, and provide detailed information about our locally-sourced menu items, seasonal specials, and promotions.
2. Take accurate food and beverage orders using Trail87's ordering system.
3. Communicate with our kitchen staff to ensure that orders are prepared correctly and in a timely manner.
4. Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring that all items are properly presented and meet Trail87's high quality standards.
5. Check with guests throughout the meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or requests promptly.
6. Maintain a clean and tidy dining area, including setting and clearing tables and restocking condiments and supplies as needed.
7. Process payment transactions accurately and efficiently using Trail87's point-of-sale system.
8. Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations in accordance with Vermont state laws.
9. Collaborate with other team members to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.
10. Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a server in a restaurant setting.
3. Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including familiarity with Vermont craft beers, wines, and cocktails.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, particularly during peak ski season.
6. Proficient in using restaurant point-of-sale systems.
7. Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
8. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during the busy winter months.
