Job Description:
Role and Responsibilities
- Responsible for General Ledger maintenance, accurate and timely data entry into NewStar ERP.
- Review settlement statements and prepare closing journal entries.
- Process inventory job closeout
- Prepare and review margin / profit analysis for both closed homes and inventory homes; provide periodic reports to management.
- Review job costs for budget variances, cost code errors, duplicate payments, and other posting errors on invoices, etc.
- Review SG&A expenses and provide coding as needed.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Assist division by completing projects, reports, and analyses as requested by management.
- Reconcile General Ledger and Balance Sheet accounts.
- Post Journal Entries.
- Prepare reports & communications as needed.
- Various projects as required.
- Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Accounting degree (preferred, not required)
- Knowledge of general accounting functions
- Experience with Accounts Payable/Receivable systems and data entry
- 1-3 years of related experience and/or training
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to accurately process and record a large volume of numerical data.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite
