Job Summary:
Join an industry-leading team as an experienced Metallurgical Engineer supporting development of HVAC&R components and systems for Trane Technologies as part of the Materials Engineering Team. In this position, you will be part of Trane Technologies Corporate Network of Excellence (NoE) applying materials solutions and helping our customers find sustainable and energy-efficient solutions for their building and transport refrigeration needs. This role works across all Trane Technologies businesses - Trane Residential, Trane Commercial and Thermo King. The position requires knowledge and experience with properties and application of metals & alloys such as steels, copper, aluminum and other non-ferrous metals. Areas of responsibility include investigation of material processing, testing material properties, failure analysis, lubrication/tribology, corrosion and evaluation of development components. The ideal candidate will manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously while identifying new technologies/trends in the industry to keep Trane Technologies products on the leading edge.

Work Environment:
This position works in a typical office and laboratory environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Occasional travel may be required, with visits to suppliers, external partners, customers’ locations, and Trane Technology manufacturing locations. Safety shoes and safety glasses (provided by company) are required to be worn at all times in the laboratory and manufacturing areas.
