Job Overview
Ensure that all materials are safely, efficiently packaged and shipped in a timely fashion without damage to customers both inter-branch internal and external to Transaxle using LTL, small package, company trucks and international shipments.
Detail oriented and able to handle pressure. Should be able to get along well with others and have the ability communicate effectively on phone and in writing professionally.
Must be assertive and able to make decisions with limited supervision. Aggressive willingness to stay at work ‘until the job is done’ attitude.

Duties and Responsibilities
Meets company’s needs for customer satisfaction and growth.
Enter data and schedule work within the (TMS) Transport Management System to schedule LTL freight.
Fill out / Understand and correctly maintain freight Bill of Ladings, packing slips, import/export documentation
to satisfy all DOT regulations.
Use Excel spreadsheet to communicate daily urgent shipments (Must-Go list)
Understanding of DOT hazardous material regulations as pertaining to freight shipments
Determine when, and execute phone and email communication with, freight carriers and brokers to manage shipments, as required
Track freight & PRO numbers and communicate them to customers and coworkers
Ensure that units in stock have shelf location and can be located
Conduct and participate in Physical Inventories and cycle counting
Aggressive willingness to stay at work ‘until the job is done’ attitude
Load / unload trucks and coordinate movement of palletized and small package material
Use UPS / FED-X (quick ship) and tracking services terminals
Confers with department supervisors and Transaxle Branch managers to determine overdue or lost shipments and resolve physically and in electronic data records.
Help direct others to maintain Unit and Materials Inventory Accuracy and to expedite transfer of materials from stock area or production areas.
May examine material received, verify part numbers, and check discrepancies with orders and ensure timely correction.
Transfer material between branches as needed to maximize stock and freight efficiency
Perform other duties as required by supervision management
Qualifications
High School Graduate
ERP / MRP systems Planning and Purchasing experience required (MS Navision preferred)
Willingness to work until 7PM and ensure completion of shipments
Use of email/MS Outlook
Knowledge and understanding of Excel spreadsheets
Proficient mathematic and analytic thinking ability for problem solving on the job
Forklift certification required and use of hoisting crane equipment
Ability to use banding machine and packing equipment
Ability to problem solve and deduce likely problem root causes
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally, customer service attitude
2 4 Year experience with shipping in a warehouse environment
Ability to be assertive & direct and supervise others
Understand and follow all company and OSHA safety guidelines
Working Conditions
- Requires ability to work on a computer and phone.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and work standing.
- Job requires good ability to use phone, e-mail and written communication skills as well as the ability to handle multiple projects.
- Requires direct face to face communication with warehouse and production personnel.
- Noisy environment for 80% of time.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to read and write clearly and legibly
- Read and understand shipping BOL/ paperwork, packing slips
- Regularly Lift 50 pounds
- Occasionally lift up to 100 pounds
