Accounting Clerk
The Accounting Clerk reports directly to the Accounting Manager in all aspects of the daily function. This position is responsible for the completion of new employee profiles, payroll, benefits enrollments, and other clerical and accounting functions. Accounting Clerk major responsibilities:
- In-charge of full cycle Payroll.
- Process payroll manual payroll information by collecting timesheets, reviewing, calculating, and entering data into eTime ADP systems.
- Responsible and maintain daily PTO Matrix; vacation, sick leave (PSL), jury duty, bereavement leave.
- Responsible and maintain sign on bonus tracker spreadsheet and input eligible bonuses in ADP eTime.
- Responsible, record and maintain for fare reconciliation reports and all deposits related tasks.
- Accurately track attendance for full time & part-time employees.
- Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering any employee payroll queries.
- Process new employee files/records and submits to management/west region for approval. Once approved, submits all appropriate paperwork to the region accounting office.
- Updating payroll records by entering any changes to employee information or benefits such as job title changes, exemptions and saving deductions
- Answer the phone and respond to customer inquiries.
- Scan all payroll related supporting documents and fare collections report into OneDrive.
- Responsible in maintain Client (funder) Daily and Weekly Report.
- Distribute mail, prepare overnight packages, and maintain stamps and other mailing related supplies.
- All other duties and special project as assigned by manager.
Accounting Clerk requirements:
- Bachelor or equivalent experience
- 3 years minimum payroll experience
- Knowledge of payroll regulations, California Law and Procedures; 940 & 941 and other OMB regulations.
- Can interpret contracts Collective Bargaining Agreement UNION (CBA) and standardize contracts.
- Ability to multi-task, attention to details and work in fast paced environment
- Computer literacy, 10 Key, Microsoft Word, Excel (Inter-mediate or advance ideal), Adobe Pro, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency into ADP Systems, Concur Procurement Software and JD Edwards.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrates leadership qualities and is a self-starter.
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent organizational skills
