What will you do?
Transfinder, a national leader in student transportation solutions for school districts throughout the United States and Canada, is seeking a talented and organized Proposal Specialist to join our sales team. This role will manage RFP submissions, ensuring adherence to timelines, and fostering cross-functional collaboration. The successful candidate will also play a key role in reviewing competitor RFPs and managing documentation to support our proposal processes.
RFP Submissions:
- Manage submission process, including coordination with various departments, gathering necessary information, and ensuring compliance with guidelines.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of RFP requirements and contribute to the creation of compelling, accurate, and timely responses.
Timeline Management:
- Create and maintain project timelines for RFP submissions, ensuring all milestones and due dates are met.
- Proactively communicate with cross-functional teams to facilitate a collaborative and efficient proposal development process.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, technology, Client Services. and other teams to collect and incorporate relevant information into proposal responses.
- Facilitate meetings and communications to ensure alignment on key elements of the proposal.
Competitor RFP Analysis:
- Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of competitor RFP submissions to identify trends, strengths, and areas for differentiation.
- Use insights gained to enhance the competitiveness of our own proposals.
Document Management:
- Implement effective documentation management practices, ensuring version control, accessibility, and organization of proposal-related materials.
- Develop and maintain a centralized repository for proposal templates, content, and supporting documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, English, or related field and 3 years of experience in proposal writing or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in managing RFP submissions, including coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple timelines concurrently.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Familiarity with competitor analysis and the ability to leverage insights to enhance proposal strategies.
- Experience in document management, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and version control.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in software industry and public sector.
- Knowledge of proposal writing software and tools.
- Familiarity with CRM systems.
Salary $65,000 to $85,000
Salary is established based on various factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job related knowledge, education and training, skills, and geographic location.
These factors are taken into consideration during the employment offer process.
