Summary of Responsibilities
The BHT Lead Tech is responsible for the coordination of Behavioral Health Technicians as well as the coordination of behavioral health services for Transformation Treatment Center clients.
Essential Duties:
- Coordinates Behavioral Healthcare Technician responsibilities on shift and provides feedback on their performance.
- Provide peer support when applicable.
- Organize activities for clients and arrange for transportation of clients.
- Administer urinalysis drug screenings according to company policies and procedures.
- Supervises clients with emphasis on safety and well-being, reminding clients of program rules and reporting infractions appropriately.
- May Facilitate support groups and complete all proper documentation.
- Understands the need for appropriate client/staff boundaries and maintains a strict therapeutic relationship during active treatment. Discontinues communication with clients upon discharge and inform supervisor of client contact after discharge.
- Communicates with staff either verbally or in written communication logs.
- Assists with interventions of clients.
- Transports clients to meetings, pick-up and drop-off clients, do store runs, and drop-off and pick-up discharges.
- Assists with confiscation of items.
- Listens to clients concerning all areas of treatment.
- Coordinate activities including lectures, recreation, and meetings.
- Follow objectives of treatment plans.
- Maintains safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for clients including crisis intervention.
- Assist with intake process of new clients into program.
- Evaluates behavioral and emotional needs of clients and provides input.
- Attend trainings as necessary.
- Clerical duties as needed, maintains files and records concerning client activities.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety rules, guidelines & procedures.
Necessary Abilities:
- Ability to handle a crisis situation and react appropriately

- Calm and decisive in crisis situations
- Ability to develop and sustain a team environment.
- Knowledge of Client rights and treats all clients with dignity and respect in a consistent manner; adheres to federal confidentiality standards (HIPAA)
- Operate a fax/copy machine and telephone
- Operate a passenger van
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
- Must be reliable and consistent with attendance and punctuality to work
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License
- One year previous experience with substance abuse facilities
- All employees may be required to work before, during and/or immediately after a natural or man-made disaster
