DSP

As a Direct Support Professional, you will be providing support to a year old individual with the goal to be more integrated with his community. You will have the opportunity to assist him with community outings, going to the park and supporting him with his ADL’s. You will also get the chance to support him with his love of trains, church activities, going to the movies and shopping.

Part time

• Tuesday and Thursday 10am - 8pm
• Every other Wednesday 10am - 4:30pm
• $19/hour

Experienced staff will:

-Participate in person centered growth and development based on the client’s goals.

-Have experience working with individuals on a behavioral support plan and can follow the directions of a behavioral specialist.

-Work collaboratively with the client and family with establishing and maintaining productive daily activities.

-Be social, outgoing, and be engaging in conversations.

-Kind, respectful, patient, non-judgemental, and understanding.

-Give feedback on the individual's performance in accomplishing goals and objectives of the Individualized Support Plan (ISP).

-Demonstrate recognition of and properly report suspected abuse and neglect.

-Be able to Support with a colostomy bag, training individualized to the client will be provided.

-Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

-Have a High School Diploma or equivalent

-Have at least 1 years of experience as a Direct Support Professional or equivalent.

-Be 21 years of age or older.

-Have a valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle, and a clean driving record.

-Covid vaccination or be willing to for the position.
