RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accounting Records and Transaction Processing
- Accounting from initiation to reporting and validation for purchase transactions including, but not limited to, operating expenses, capital expenditure, and prepayments.
- Completely and accurately record supplier invoices for inventory purchases, services, employee expenses etc.
- Completely and accurately record credit notes in supplier accounts for returns and adjustments
- Collaborate with procurement and manufacturing teams to understand vendor payment terms and strategy
- Completely and accurately record credit cards transactions for employee expenses, subscriptions, travel, services, office supplies etc.
- Prepare payments for suppliers and employees periodically, monitor discount opportunities, verify federal id numbers, schedule, and prepare checks, and resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation
- Charge expenses to General Ledger accounts and cost centers after analyzing invoices, pro-formas, quotes, expense reports etc.
- Perform accounting for advance payments, follow-up changes in status or resolution and perform subsequent accounting of such advance payments
- Financial Close and Reporting
- Monthly, quarterly and annual close processes through - perform cut-off procedures, record close entries, prepare reconciliations and analysis to support balances
- Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
- Prepare monthly reconciliations and schedules to support relevant balance sheet accounts
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 years of experience performing accounting and transaction processing
- BS in Accounting, Finance or Business or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong attention to detail with a track record of accuracy
- Knowledge and understanding of transaction processing in an ERP-based accounting environment
- Experience with manufacturing, medical devices, hi-tech would be a plus

Transmedics Inc is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Andover, MA. This position will be responsible for processing accounts payable invoices, reconciling vendor accounts, and ensuring timely payments.
Essential Duties:
- Processes invoices and invoice reconciliation requests in accordance with company policy and procedures.
- Reviews vendor statements to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Reconciles vendor statements as needed.
- Prepares monthly financial statements for the month.
- Prepares monthly credit card reconciliations and other related reports as requested.
- Prepares and submits monthly credit card statements to vendors.
- Prepares and submits monthly sales tax returns for Andover, MA.
- Prepares and submits payroll tax returns for Andover, MA.
- Ensures timely payments of vendors’ bills.
- Assists with other duties as assigned by management.
Experience: Required: 1 year of accounts payable experience required (preferred). Experience with Paychex, QuickBooks Online, or similar accounting software is a plus.
