Job Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for handling TransTech’s ongoing customer-facing projects and involved in internal process improvement. The successful candidate should have a technical background with strong business, management, communication, budgeting, and analysis skills.
Primary Functions and Duties
The Project Manager is expected to manage multiple projects at a time. These responsibilities include:
- Execute deliverables through the lifecycle of the project which includes, but not limited to, scope definition, proposal definition, and project execution.
- Provide timely updates to clients and key stakeholders
- Manage project schedule, documentation, budgets, and labor hours
- Manage changes to the project scope, schedule and costs
- Plan, assign, and monitor work responsibilities for field crews
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Report and escalate issues to management as needed
- Manage third party and customer relations
- Encourage our safety culture at all times, pursing our goal of zero accidents
- Travel: 25% to 50%
Note: Project type may vary, up to and including green field installation, process piping, equipment retrofit, and site expansions.
The Project Manager is expected to contribute to ongoing internal process improvement, including:
- Identify and eliminate waste in the business by reducing redundant or unnecessary work
- Develop necessary tools and technology to improve project efficiency
- Support the optimization of internal resources
Required Qualifications
- Four year degree (preferred engineering or construction management)
- Proven ability to work closely with other team members, engineers, and customers with minimal oversight
- Excellent internal stakeholder and external customer communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- After-hours phone availability for field team support
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred experience managing construction projects up to $750,000
- Preferred knowledge in PowerBI, Smartsheet, Salesforce, and ERP systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers and external partners
