Transwest is searching for an individual with deep transportation industry knowledge, specifically related to Department of Transportation compliance. With over 100 drivers subject to DOT regulations across multiple business units, this position requires creative thinking and a collaborative approach. The DOT compliance coordinator is responsible for managing all DOT compliance related functions.

- Actively engage with managers and drivers subject to DOT compliance regulations.
- Coordinate the completion of the driver qualification packet with managers, employees, and third-party administrator.
- Maintain expiring DOT items list and collect all updated items from employees to submit to third-party administrator.
- Complete annual driver qualification packet updates including facilitating the collection of motor vehicle records for all drivers.
- Schedule drivers for DOT medical card recertification appointments.
- Coordinate random DOT drug and alcohol testing each quarter for all business units.
- Maintain USDOT numbers for multiple business units, including the periodic full cycle registration of UCR and MCS-150.
- Maintain Federal Motor Carriers Administration Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse logins for all business units.
- Interpret complex inspection violations and advise stakeholders on necessary corrections.
- Generate quarterly reporting for managers whose departments are subject to DOT compliance regulations.
- Monitor Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations to ensure the compliance program aligns with periodic updates to statutes.
- Maintain and update standard operating procedures related to DOT compliance across multiple business units and departments.
- Code and submit invoices related to DOT compliance.
- Serve as main point of contact and facilitator for all tasks related to a DOT audit.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Occasionally lift/push/pull up to 45 lbs.
- Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending, or stooping for prolonged periods of time.
- Manual dexterity, fine manipulation and the ability to reach with hands and arms.
- Required manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination for data input.
- Normal range of hearing and vision.
- Occasional travel to other locations required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License and MVR in good standing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of DOT compliance, FMCSRs and USDOT registration preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in dealership operations that directly relates to focus area.
- Ability to represent the company in a professional manner.
- Ability to successfully pass a General Abilities Assessment and Post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.
