Currently searching for an experienced Metal Buyer to join the Buying Team as a remote teammate. The successful candidate must be capable of communicating effectively and frequently with all levels of suppliers and plant management in performance of their responsibilities. Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to negotiate, is a critical success factor. In addition, organizational and time management skills. The candidate must possess strong analytical skills for effective budgeting and cost analysis for scrap tolling.

Responsibilities:
- Effectively negotiate the efficient procurement of commodities and services
- Develop and maintain cost analysis for purchased inputs
- Inventory management
- Assist with supplier & internal customer invoice issues, concerns relating to deliveries, stock status
- Data Collection for commodities, plant or corporate procurement initiatives as required
- Maintain department statistics / metrics reports, SQD & TS certification documentation, and supplier score cards as developed.
- At least 4 years in metal purchasing (prefer aluminum buying experience)
- Ability to establish objectives for reducing cost
- Self-starter with consistent track record in problem solving/resolution
- Some knowledge/exposure to Maintenance related MRO commodities
- Experience in SAP Procurement/Maintenance System's is preferred
